I have always been attracted to the off-beat wedding and alternative weddings. I think this stems from me appreciating a little bit the bold and dramatic in design. I wanted to bring together a group of creatives who could pull this vision off and create something that speaks to a couple who may not want the traditional wedding.
We had a color palate of emeralds, blacks, and golds to help support our vision. I was honestly a bit nervous about combining the beige colors with the blacks (maybe this stems from my childhood when I was told not to mix brown and black) but I love how it looks. I was looking for something different after all.
It was also important to me to find new ways to create and represent the Queer community. Our lovely models Elise + Carmen had the best chemistry and were such a joy to work with. Our florist created an amazing wearable live floral tie and we had a spectacular balloon artist who did our vignette.
We did have a Harley lined up to join the mobile bar but we got a mini blizzard and had to forfeit the bike. Instead we got gorgeous flakes that felt so Colorado and just added to the mood. I hope you enjoy browsing the images
